First Aid At Work Syllabus

This course complies with the HSE 1981 First Aid at Work legislation for a First Aider in the workplace. Each course is adjusted to suit the needs of the students. The first aid course lasts for 4 days from 9.30am to 4.30pm. A short oral test will take place during the last session of the course. A certificate which is valid for 3 years is awarded to all successful students. Included FREE OF CHARGE is a comprehensive First Aid Manual as well as course notes. Also free of charge is our unique reminder service. We will make valiant attempts to contact you before your certificate expires giving details of courses which you could attend to refresh your certificate.The following list gives details of subjects covered in our First Aid at Work courses:

The Skeleton

Identification and treatment of fractures, sprains and dislocations

Burns and Skalds

Treatment of injuries due to heat, steam and corrosive substances
Eye irrigation

Bostock Health Care are registered by the HSE to provide First Aid training. We can also refresh all First Aid at Work certificates regardless of where you trained.
